Pioneers finish 2016 season

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team finished its fall 2016 season this weekend falling to UW- La Crosse Eagles, ranked 13th in the country, on Friday in La Crosse and UW-Eau Claire, ranked 25th in the country, on Saturday in Eau Claire. 

In Friday's match against UW-La Crosse, the Pioneers lost 25-23, 25-14, and 25-18. Junior setter Allie Carter logged 16 assists. Senior libero Lindsey Decker had 14 digs. Meanwhile, senior middle hitter Lidia Frias logged 5 kills for the Pioneers.

On Saturday, the Pioneers' lost to UW-Eau Claire 25-13, 25-23, and 25-16. Carter had 16 assists. Meanwhile, Decker had 11 digs, and junior outside hitter Allison Jensen logged 7, respectively. Senior right side hitter Amber Williams logged 8 kills, and Jensen had 5.

The Pioneers finish their season 1-6 in the WIAC, and 11-21 overall. The Pioneers thank seniors Amber Williams, Lidia Frias, and Lindsey Decker for their talents, accomplishments, and dedication to Pioneer volleyball.
