PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team opened its season at home on Thursday Sept. 1 against Cornell College with a thrilling 2-1 victory at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
After a scoreless first half, Cornell senior Deidre Franzen found the back of the net to put the Rams up 1-0 with 40:18 left on the clock. The Pioneers were able to respond as Yamilex Jaramilo eluded defenders and scored with 13:05 left on the clock.
