A valiant effort by University of Wisconsin-Platteville goalkeeper Julie Divita came up short as the Pioneers dropped a 1-0 decision to host UW-River Falls on Saturday.
The Pioneers (2-7, 0-3 WIAC) faced a potent UW-River Falls attack with a 26 to 10 advantage in shots. Divita made 16 saves in the loss for UW-Platteville. The 16 saves are the most by a UW-Platteville goalkeeper since a 19-save effort by Kaitlyn Wiedeman at UW-Eau Claire on September 23, 2009.
