Slow-starting Pioneers fall at UWSP

A two-point first quarter cost UW-Platteville as the Pioneers lost 85-41 at UW-Stevens Point Wednesday in Berg Gymnasium.

The Pointers led 20-2 after 10 minutes and 44-14 by halftime while improving to 11-11 overall and 5-6 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

The Pioneers, who fell to 6-16, 2-9, were led by Allison Prestegaard and Maiah Domask with eight points apiece. Taylor Barrett led a balanced Pointer attack with 12 points, while Carly Cerrato added 11.

UW-Platteville plays its final home game Saturday at 3 p.m. vs UW-Eau Claire.
