Valley advances to finals at NCAA Championships

DELAWARE, Ohio – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's and women's track and field teams each had a pair of athletes compete on the second day of the NCAA Division III Championships on Friday. 

Senior T.J. Valley posted the seventh fastest trial time in the 110-meter hurdles. Valley's time of 14.58 was the second fastest in his heat. Fellow senior Patrick Kessenich placed 18th in the 110-meter hurdles prelims with a time 14.92, ending his week at the national meet. Valley will run in the finals on Saturday at 2:40 p.m. 

On the women's side, Amber Williams and Alyssa Iserman completed in the high jump. Williams cleared 5-feet-3-inch on her first attempt to place 17th, while Iserman cleared 5-feet-3-inch on her second try to finish in 19th. 

Williams will wrap up her season with the triple jump on Saturday at 3 p.m. Sophomore Ian LaMere will be the last Pioneer to compete on the final day of the national meet with the 5,000-meter run at 5:05 p.m.
