The UW-Platteville Men's soccer team's historic season will continue as they have been selected to play the 2017 NCAA Tournament. The selection committee released the field of 62 teams earlier today and the Pioneers were the lone 'Pool B' team to receive a tournament nod. This will be the Pioneers' third appearance in the NCAA Tournament, and first time since their run to the Sweet 16 in 2012.
The Pioneers' (11-3-2) first round matchup will be against Westminster (Mo.) (8-9-2) on Saturday, November 11 at North Park University in Chicago. Westminster received an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament by winning the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Tournament. The first round game is part of the three team North Park Regional with the winner facing North Park on Sunday.
Both Satuday and Sundays games are scheduled for 5 p.m. The full 62 team bracket can be viewed at http://www.ncaa.com/interactive-bracket/soccer-men/d3
