PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneers came up short against St. Norbert College 3-1 on Sunday, Oct. 1 at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
The Pioneers (8-2) fell behind St. Norbert (8-3-1) on a Logan Block goal in the 20th minute and gave up two more goals early in the second half. The Pioneers responded with a Jon Stopple goal in the 66th minute off of a corner kick by Nick Hoklas, but didn't get another shot on goal for the remainder of the game. Unable to put a consistent offensive threat together all afternoon, UW-Platteville was held to just three shots on goal versus St. Norbert's eight.
The Pioneers return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 3 at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa at 7 p.m.
