UW-Platteville Heads to Carleton College for NCAA Tournament

The UW-Platteville Men's Soccer team has been selected to play in the NCAA tournament for the second time in four years.  The Pioneers (14-3-1 overall, 3-1 WIAC), who also captured the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title this season, received one of 21 available at-large spots into the 62-team field. 

The Pioneers will face Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.) (15-2-2) in Northfield, Minn., at the host site, Carleton College at 1:30.  Caleton (17-1-2) will face Carroll Univeristy (12-7-1) at 11:00.  Saturday's victors will meet in a second-round match on Sunday at 1:30, with the winner advancing to the NCAA Sectionals the following weekend.

TICKETS
Tickets are required for all fans and will be available for purchase at the gate on game day.  Admission prices are established by the NCAA are:
$6 - Adults
$3 - Seniors and Students (six years old through college)
Free - Children five and under

PARKING
Due to ongoing construction at Evans Hall, the parking lot next to Cowling Gymnasium will be limited to use for handicap accessible spaces and NCAA required spaces for gameday personnel.

There is free on-street parking in the neighborhood surrounding campus. Entrance to the game will via the Cowling parking lot, accessible from the corner of First Street and Maple.

LODGING
The NCAA Central Region Cross Country Championships are being held nearby at St. Olaf College on Saturday, Nov. 10, utilizing most (if not all) hotel rooms in Northfield and Faribault, Minn. on FRIDAY night. Fans traveling from outside the area are encouraged to seek lodging in the Lakeville/Burnsville area to the north or Owatonna to the south. Both are approx. 35 minutes from campus. Rooms are expected to be available in the Northfield area for Saturday night.
