Pioneer football moves up to No.12 .

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneers football team (7-2, 4-2 WIAC) moved up three spots from no. 15 to no. 15 in this week's d3football.com Top 25. The no. 12 rank is the Pioneers' second-highest mark of the season, behind only week 4 when the Pioneers were ranked tenth.

The Pioneers are coming off record-setting 62-20 win over conference rival UW-Stout.

The 62 points by the Pioneers is the highest for the Pioneers in the Mike Emendorfer era and most in a conference game since 1971.

In the contest, sophomore quarterback Bryce Corrigan set a UW-Platteville record with seven passing touchdowns and sophomore wide receiver Trevor Whitehead set a UW-Platteville record with four touchdown catches.

The Pioneers travel to UW-Stevens Point (2-7, 1-5 WIAC) for final game of the regular season. With a win, the Pioneers would be poised for a berth in the NCAA Division III Football Championship Tournament.
