Zach Litchfield Named to D3Football.com Team of the Week

University of Wisconsin-Platteville kicker Zach Litchfield was named to the D3Football.com Team  of the Week.

Litchfield, a junior from Waupaca, was seven-for-seven on extra-point attempts in a 52-35 win over University of Dubuque (Iowa).  He also made a 44-yard field goal - the second longest of his career - to put the Pioneers ahead 24-7. Through the first two games, Litchfield is now 15-for-15 on the season on extra-point attempts.

Earlier this week, Litchfield also earned recognition from the WIAC as the Special Teams Player of the Week.

The Pioneers, on Sunday, moved up from No. 21 to No. 17 in the latest D3football.com poll and are idle for the weekend of Sept. 15 and will return to action on Thursday, Sept. 20 to face UW-Eau Claire in a non-conference tilt at 6 p.m. in Pioneer Stadium.
