OSHKOSH Wis.—The University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball team fell 7-1 and 8-0 to host UW Oshkosh Saturday in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader.
The Pioneers had nine hits in the opener, including three doubles by Kyle Reinhart, but stranded 12 runners. Andy Bahler drove in five runs for the Titans with three hits, including a home run.
The Titans' Colan Tremi held the Pioneers to two hits and struck out 10 in a complete-game effort in the nightcap. Johnny Eagen had three doubles and a home run to power the UWO offense.
The Pioneers are now 17-12 overall, 2-8 in the WIAC, while the Titans improved to 15-13, 6-4. The same two teams meet again Sunday in Oshkosh.
