JOB DETAILS: 

UW-Platteville Athletic Department is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach/Sports Information Assistant.  This is an ongoing,  full-time, 9-month, benefits eligible position.

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION: 

UW-Platteville is a member of NCAA Division III Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC). More information on Pioneer Athletics may be viewed at LetsGoPioneers (http://www.letsgopioneers.com/). 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include, but are not limited to coaching, recruiting qualified student athletes including use of recruiting software, fund raising, camp operations, scouting, film breakdown, video exchange and associated software, developing community support for the program, monitoring academic progress of student-athletes and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. 50% of the position will also be as Sports Information Assistant, which will oversee all sports information for UW-Platteville Athletics including but not limited to NCAA correspondence, publication releases, post-season competition, statistics, record keeping, website maintenance, student-athlete promotions and be the main contact for Sports Information.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Minimum:

  1. Bachelors degree
  2. Minimum two (2) years coaching experience on the collegiate level or high school level
  3. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  4. Knowledge of computer applications for recruiting (front rush) and video exchange and breakdown (Huddle)
  5. Organizational skills
  6. Event planning and camp experience
  7. Fund raising experience
  8. Demonstrated recruiting ability
  9. Ability to manage multiple tasks
  10. Ability to work weekends & evenings and also to travel

Preferred:

  1. Sports Information experience
