Women’s Golf – Stephanie Baribeau, Sr. (Cameron, WI/ Rice Lake) – Baribeau was the medalist at the Millikin Big Blue Fall Classic on Sept. 16th and 17th.  The senior shot a pair of 77s to edge out Viterbo’s Danielle Ducklow by one stroke.  Stephanie’s 154 total was a team and personal best, which helped lead the Pioneers to a third place finish in a field that included Olivet-Nazarene, a top-50 ranked NAIA team. 

Men’s Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week Tommy Bitter, So. (Dubuque, IA/Hempstead) Defender – Bitter played outstanding defense this week with the Pioneers going 2-1 on the week and improving to 6-2 overall.  The sophomore was excellent at shutting down opponents’ strong forwards and winning everything in the air. 

 

Men’s Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week Logan Rinderknecht, So. (Cedar Rapids, IA/Prairie) Forward – Rinderknecht tallied three goals for the Pioneers and continued to be a threat to the opponent’s defenses all week as the Pioneers improved to 6-2 on the season.  The sophomore scored two goals in the Pioneers 4-2 win over Wisconsin Lutheran on Sept. 14th, and one in the 2-1 triumph over Lawrence on Sept. 17th.

Volleyball Defensive Athlete of the Week Grace Austin, So. (Wilton, IA) Libero – Austin recorded 68 digs (4.86 per set) and 6 aces (0.43/set) in helping the Pioneers finish a 3-0 week.  Austin finished with 18 digs with 4.0 aces in a win against Clarke University. Austin then had 26 digs and 2.0 aces in a win against Illinois College. She finished her weekend with a 24 digs against Grinnell College.

 Volleyball Offensive Athlete of the Week – Allison Jensen, Jr. (Lowden, IA/North Cedar) Outside Hitter – Jensen recorded 53 kills (3.79 per set) while hitting .225 in helping the Pioneers go 3-0 this week.  Jensen finished with 18 kills with a hitting percentage of .250 in a win versus NAIA Clarke University. Jensen then had 14 kills in a win against Illinois College. She finished her weekend with 21 kills against Grinnell College.
