Wrestling - D'Andre Johnson, Junior (Lombard, Ill./Glenbard East), 285 pounds - Johnson went 4-0 to earn 1st place at the MSOE Invite without surrendering any offensive points. In the process, he also avenged his only official loss of the season (injury default) to Nigel Burnett (Hannibal LaGrange).  Other notable victories included a 12-0 MD over Diata Drayton (Millikin University) and a 6-2 decision over Myron Hamilton (Millikin University). 

 

Women's Basketball - Maiah Domask, Freshman (Waupun, Wis.), Forward - Domask recorded the Pioneers' first double-double of the season in their narrow loss to Concordia University on Nov. 29. In the 83-79 loss, the freshman scored 16 points on six-for-10 shooting and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds, including five offensive boards. Domask nearly recorded back-to-back double-doubles scoring eight points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the Pioneers 58-55 loss to fourth-ranked Wartburg College on Dec. 2.

 

Men's Basketball - Matt Oestreich, Senior (Marshfield, Wis.), Guard - Oestreich averaged 13.0 points and shot 78.6 percent from the field this week to help the Pioneers go 2-0. On Nov. 29 in an 89-54 win over Illinois Tech Oestreich had 16 points on a perfect 7-of-7 night. He added 10 points in an 87-48 win over Silver Lake on Dec. 2, shooting 57.1 percent. He also averaged 2.0 steals, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 rebounds in the Pioneers' two games.
