PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- A Dubuque family pounced on the opportunity to join the University of Wisconsin-Platteville's Pioneer Sparkles team, a group of eight individuals, ages 11 to 21, with special needs and disabilities.
The group, from the tri-state area, is fully integrated with the Pioneer cheer and stunt team that performs at UW-P men's basketball games.
