PSAAC - Pioneer Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

PSAAC - Pioneer Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

What is PSAAC?

A student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses. At the Univeristy of Wisconsin-Platteville, the committee is referred to as PSAAC.

Presently, there are separate national SAACs for NCAA Divisions I, II and III. NCAA legislation mandates that all member institutions have SAACs on their respective campuses. Further, NCAA legislation requires that all member conferences have SAACs.

Current Events

Toys for Tots: There are currently two Toys for Tots drop boxes in front of the Athletic Department main office located inside Williams Fieldhouse. New, unwrapped toys can be placed in the boxes until December 4th. The donated toys will then be distributed to children in the community throughout the holiday season!

Headlocking Hunger: All UW-Platteville athletic teams are encouraged to try knocking off the 2x undefeated Headlocking Hunger champions, women's basketball. Teams will collect non-perishable foods to be donated to the Platteville Food Pantry, and each teams' donations will have a 'weigh in' the night of the wrestling team's dual meet with UW-Stevens Point. The winner will be announced at halftime, and the team with the heaviest donation will receive the Headlocking Hunger Championship Belt. Start collecting now!
